St. Mary's County is the southernmost point of Maryland's western shore, and most of it is beyond the area we can serve well from Deale. We would rather tell you that than overpromise. What we do cover is the northern end of the county: Charlotte Hall and the communities along Three Notch Road near the Charles County line. This is farm country. Amish and Mennonite farms, open fields, a long-running farmers market, and the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home are the landmarks, and homes tend to sit on large lots at the end of long lanes. The ground is flat to gently rolling and can drain slowly, so lanes do best when they are built up, crowned, and given somewhere to shed water. Surfaces are a practical choice here.
